"i was in company 430, graduated 15 october  1965. we got out there on about 26 august 
plane from boston with a stop at jfk on the way. you probably graduated  1 or 2 weeks ahead of me. graduations were on fridays, as i recall."

"we started out at camp barry, then they moved us to the old wave barracks at camp lawrence, place hadn`t been open in years. the whole of great lakes was packed, must have been building up for nam, i suppose."

"i wass out there in january of 2005 for my son`s graduation,took my wife and 2 daughters, 4 tickets per recruit family. some of the old yellow brick barracks on the camp porter side were still standing, but the brig and most of the other stuff was…"

"while onboard uss talbot county lst 1153, our homeport away from little creek was rodman naval station, on the pacific side of the canal.
there was another "t" at the coco solo side, usually the churchill county
