  • Good to hear from the past. We served about the same time at Millington and Miramar. We had some good time back then, the time on the Enterprise was awesome. Good to hear from you. Hope all is well with you. Keep in touch brother.

  • I had the privilege of working at Military Evaluation Division during boot camp for a week or two (they asked for volunteers to keep the inspection records for each company in the contest for the best company).  The chief in charge had a problem with my attempts at humor.  Can't remember his name though.

  • I was at RTC May 72 - July 72, Company 157.  Went on to BEEP school (San Diego) and later ET"A" school at Treasure Island.  Then "W" Division on Ranger CVA-61 for one West Pac cruise.  I still remember our CC in boot Quartermaster 1st Class SUBMARINE Service

    Stevenson, Sir!

  • I was on the Enterprise 1974 Wespac. Also from Miramar VF-2 Bounty Hunters F-14s. VF-1 and VF-2 were the first F-14 squadrons commisioned. I Transfered to VF-2 in November of 72. VF-1 and 2 had no aircraft yet. We would recieve one aircraft every month until we had all twelve aircraft. For the first 6 months we had no aircraft and nothing to do. Clean the shop and secure for the day or in my case I was always on second or third shift. Spent alot of time at the beach. San Diego was awesome back then. I loved it there. Not even the same place now. I remember living in Kearney Mesa off the 163 hwy. It was all open space  between me and Miramar. Blacks beach, The Homegrown album on the local station KGB, fund raiser to save Blacks Beach. I was into Handgliding and scuba diving so the beach was my playground. Anyway love to hear back. Talk to you later    Greg Summer

  • Welcome Aboard!

I'm Bill Karr. My son Doug created this site and I help him out a bit. We hope that you enjoy it.

The following message is from Doug:
    1. Be sure to upload an image of yourself. You can add your image on your Footlocker.
    2. Click the Commands tab and search for your commands so that you can join them and add them to your page! This is how other shipmates will find you.
    3. Invite all your shipmates!
    4. Don't hesitate to add an event or a reunion to the Events tab!
    5. We've also started Commands for each State. Be sure to join or add your own state!

I give out gifts often for those folks who participate on Navy Vets! Be sure to start up a blog post or two and tell us all about your time in the Navy!

    Thanks,
    Doug
