  • Hi Mike,Thanks 4 welcoming me aboard. You sure put in your time, thank you 4 your service.I`am retired now & still live in Manhattan, life is good & I hope it`s the same 4 u.I never got the Navy out of my system,I guess once a sailor always a sailor.I fish alot & when I`am at the water I day dream of those days 50 yrs ago when we had 15 minute breaks at nite & would lay on the catwalks looking up to the sky over the south Pacific & think of home.Next thing u heard was aircraft 15 miles out."Set Arresting Gear".Where has the time gone, those were memories I will treasure till I hear the call to "Man your Flight Quarter Stations" 4 the last time.Stay Well ,hope to hear from u again.Kenny Vena
  • Hi Mike, I was a PN2 when I was discharged, four years active and two years active reserve. I live across the coast from you in Boynton Beach. I was reading the other day that they have combined PN's and DK's (I think) to one rating. After I got out I spent 30 years working for the government and just started reliving my Navy days a couple of years ago. All and all my time in the Navy was the best!
  • Mike, That sure is a great looking young picture of you on here. Thanks for the welcome.

Just following suite from my fellow shipmates of Milwaukee, they lead, I follow.
