    I was in the squadron VX-6, cargo and people haulers. I was there from April 1968 to April 1970. Great tour of duty.

    Yes. Johnson did a big cut back. I didn't know  I was still an e-5 til I got my papers. I worked hard for e-6. I also got the bronze star, not in service record. I asked va for help in 1970 and was told no, i was a blue water sailor. What ever that meant.   Bill

    Brisco ? BM3 Blelsoe spelled wrong when I returned from Vietnam I was BM1 and Blelsue  came on my ship USS Regulus AF 57 as a BM3 got busted down fromBM1. BM2 Warfield remember very well when Winters was washed overboard he got on my ass for cutting nylon  rope used for unrep to help get Winters back on board.

    The storm before Holbat the old man had everybody cleaning up oil from a. leak forward bow deck.

    Richard,only other one on Navy Vet is D.Gordon Brown " when it was T- AO 106 lives in Phoenix Az not during our time..

    It was about 3 days before we could cross the cargo deck aft to the mess decks. We rolled 48 degree at one point. I was more scared after it was over thinking what could have happen.

    Richard bend awhile since I checked my page good hear from old shipmates . The trip down under  was the best one I ever made my 20 years in the Navy. Do you remember when Seaborn Winters took a swim in the middle of the ocean?

    Hi Richard: I was a plank owner on the barnstable Cty. and was at National Steel and Shipbuilding Co. in San Diego when it was built. I also went around to Little Creek on her and stayed on her for two years. I was a BM2 in 1st Div. Had a good time on her and continued in the Navy and retired as a MLC in the late 80es. Take Care.     richard did ya try the ancestry thing. ya can't get the cruise book but you can view it page by page or print it.they had 2 of mine on there.
