hanging out in the main room how does this work?
Actually I enlisted from Columbia. I'm the only Yankee in my family. My dad came up here after WWII. I was living with my maternal GM when I enlisted so AFEES intake was at Fort Jackson which my paternal GM used to own a part of. My Aunt, his sister, took me to intake.
Company 001 was still at RTC when we (016) started. We took Xmas leave during boot so my folks came to Columbia and I spent leave with them. I think graduation for 016 was 1/24/1969 and I went straight to 'A' school at Pensacola flying through Tampa.
Cheers
