I was on VREELAND March 5, 1987 to Sept, 1988, with a TAD to USS FLATLEY JUN05-SEP09 followed by amonth of TAD at FTC while VREELAND was underway that year, so we really didn't see much shared time on the ship together. I remember Chief P, though not been in touch. Brian left while I was TAD, haven't seen/heard from him since, though I've kept an eye out. Couple of the others, such as Big D, are on Facebook.
Hey Jeff if you want to find out what some of your old shipmate are doing you should visit this site http://navysite.de/. I found alot of old friend from the Jack William there, They have a listing of every ship in the navy on that site.
Jeffrey I was stationed in Mayport Florida on the USS Jack Williams from 82-86. I remember the Vreeland very well, if I remember right their main party hole was the breakaway's on Mayport Rd.
Sadly,we fell far short of the needed signatures. And now the rules have been changed
need 25,000 signatures to get it looked at.
