Where were you or your family stationed?
This is actually on behalf of my deceased Father Harry G. Van Horn. I am his daughter. I am trying to contact Naval Veterans to find out if any of the memorabelia that I have from my Father's time in the Navy and WWII would be of any interest to any of the Naval Veteran organizations.

"Mary, the ship that is in the black and white photos and the one with the sailors on deck is the ship my dad was stationed on in 1958 the USS Rochester CA-134. The smaller ship was the ship I was stationed on from 1984 through 1987 the USS Vreeland FF-1068. I went college a few years ago here in Davenport, IA and that picture is from graduation at Saint Ambrose University. I graduated in 2007. The Monsigner is from our Catholic Dioceses here in Davenport."
Hello Mary,
My name is Jeff Duex and I am a member of the American Legion. Our Post has a museum that displays artifacts from the different War era's you may want to contact your local American Legion Post or the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Post. They would love to tell your Dad's story. We also have a pretty decent sized public museum that has a display that honors our hero's from the different war era's.
Hope this info is helpful Mary. Have a wonderful day.
