they might have I think the Gm. used a line throwing gun to sent of the line can't remember for sure all I remember is hearing the hole post gas drill digging the holes one forward and one aft
James a BM on an Ice Breaker has some special job that no other BM will do not too many BM going too another command can have in there record that they tied up an Ice Breaker to an ice berg to have a beer party
well James there is a story about that cold beer you see that picture was taken down in Antarctica in 1963. you see before we deploy from Seattle Wash. they load the brig on board with beer. the x.o. has the key after a days work the skipper ties up the ship too an ice berg and sells bear that one can that did not get pick up. were the brew type come from not sure could of been from Seattle or Christ Church New Zeland
well James I wound up staying for 20 went too shore duty out of boot in Texas got married there and just stay in I don't regret it now one bit with all the bull going on now I don't have too worried about health insurance me and the wife are covered
James, I was stationed at Long Beach N.S. and Worked at Sima NRMF out on the Mole.
Got out in '89 and just a short time later they closed the base and then Clinton sold it to the Chicom. Sad indeed. One large Container Base for them to use now.
That's OK.I entered "Mini Bikes" on my server and found a whole bunch of stuff about them including kits and engines etc. Not all that expensive, either.
