"Paul, Finished bootcamp in NOV of 76 and went to AO school in Dec. Sent to NAS Miraamar San Diego first 2 years then last 15 months with VS-22 aboard your sister ship Saratoga. Got out in Sep of 80."

All is going well for me, Joe!!! Miss those days with VS-22, but not the days on the USS Saratoga. I worked in Personnel and use to go to the AO shop and hide out. They had a great stereo system in their shop!!! I live in Michigan, but was down in the Jax area a couple years ago. Great memories of my Navy years.
Hey Joe!!! I was in VS-22 from July 1976 to Feb 1979. I worked in Personnel, everybody called me "Harpo". I remember hanging out in the AO shop a lot onboard the Saratoga with Doug Ferguson (Fergie). I made two Med cruises with VS-22, one in 77 and one in 78-79. I flew off the Saratoga in mid-deployment in Feb 79, after we left Barcelona. Go Checkmates!!!
eAhoy fellow Ordinanceman. I attended AO-A school in 76 myself. Went to Oceana,VB soon after and spent the rest of my service with VA-85... Made 2 Med cruises aboard the Forrestal before being discharged in Aug, 79.. Great times!
It looks like you were at NTTC Memphis the same time I was. I was in Personnel, across the way from ADJ school.
