One of the best ways to start, if you find staring at the computer hard, is to get a small digital recorder and just tell stories! Helps if you are at happy hour and have a swig of beer or two, if you are so inclined :-) Then...that…"
"Thanks so much! I appreciate being accepted. It will be a pleasure and help me feel I am somehow "involved" in the deployment of my sons. One is in Japan at the moment. The other just got back from Bahrain.

On September 28th the Military Writer's Society of America honored several Navy veterans, Navy military spouses, and parents with top honors in their annual book awards. Here is a partial list of winners with Navy affiliations. Just a tremendous…
I joined the Coral Maru about midway through that 67-68 Cruise. I remember the first time I saw her, from the window of a COD flight. That was my first arrested landing, and my last. I had an opportunity to partake in a catapault shot off the USS Constellation while embarked with COMDESRON 17. I really liked the '67-'68 cruise as it included the port visit to Sidney. What a great place to visit in the late '60s.
For years I've wanted to write a book about carrier airwing exploits but I've never figured out how to go about it. I know that you need to set up an outline of what you want to write about and a cast of characters. I've sat in front of my 'puter for hours on end and not one thought comes out the way it sounds good. Help me, please???
Hi Jeanette. I FOUND my LAST WORKING MANUSCRIPT of my book before it was polished and sized, and table of contents were made. It is the last best copy of my book I have. My e-mail address is dwasche@live.com so where do I go from here? I don't have my cover designs and all that kind of stuff any more. I will try and do this thing before it becomes a futile gesture. Contact me and maybe we can figure something out.
You must be very proud of your sons! It is great that you take this level of interest. You mentioned Nam I take it you had a relative on active duty during those years? Enjoy the site - I am sure everyone is happy to have you and have your sons join also! :)
