  • Hello Chief, I am not sure of the exact timing of all this, but my tour started in the fall of 1968 when I was the RMSN on the LCU-1622. That lasted until about Thanksgiving 1968, when I was transferred to the White Elephant Comm Center (on the waterfront on the west side of the Han River in Danang, near the national bank building.) I was there until about August of 1969 when it was moved to the Relay-Technical Control Facility (aka "the Triangle"). As for other sites, the transmitter site was south of Marble Moutain (near the marine base) and the receiver site was up on Monkey Mountain. I believe that the Triangle site was there before August 1968, but not the Comm Center. I just looked at the US NSA, Danang 1969 yearbook, which gives some of the info above.

  • i know i remember seeing people being thrown out of the club on our way to the chow hall also behind every three there was a naked girl

  • that tour on the ice i will never forget we spent a week at the base cause our office machine were not working me the dl and the disbursing officer stay with vx-6 them guys are crazy
