  • Will do, Denny! He's been doing a LOT of fishing and camping this summer. We have a butt-ton of retired Chiefs in our developement and a bunch who are still in. We're about 13 miles North of Naval Station Everett.
  • OTHER SHIPMATES FROM THE YOSEMITE I FORGOT ABOUT WERE ML1 BILL MCCOY, I READ SOMEWHERE HE HAD PASSED AWAY AND ML3 UPDEGRAFF. THERE MAY BE MORE.......BRAIN CELLS KICK IN EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE. THERE WERE ALSO TWO OTHER CLASS MATES FROM A SCHOOL........THEY MISSED THE CLASS PICTURE, MABE ALDO CROSE KNOWS THEIR NAMES.
  • When I was transferring outta Norfolk from the ES Land to SUBBASE Pearl in 1994 I ran into Chief Perkins He was on LY Spear then before I left I read in the news about a Navy man missing and it Was MLC Joe perkins thats all I knew anyone know the outcome of that?
  • Glenn,
Tell him to get his butt registered on here! HAHA Me and him were PA natives along with Ron"Bud" Miller. Glad to hear he did well and at least tell him I said HI Thanks,Denny
  • MLC Laferty went to the shanendoah, chief MacDonald came to the Acadia, Chief Lafferty's wife was one of the first millionare winners of the califirnia lottery.
  • Dennis,

Matt Hazen lives around the block from me. He's the ONLY person I know of who made Senior Chief in another rating after they disestablished the Molder rating. He crossed Engineman.
  • MLC Gundelfinger became a CWO when we were in "A" School, actually his commissioning ceremony was performed at PM/ML "A" School 32nd St. and our whole class attended. MLCS Paul was at the school when we attended.
  • Small community for sure, I had MLCS Paul, MLC Gundelfinger great guy and fellow surfer, ML1 Burkett, and ML2 Ringer in A school. I served with MLC Audette on the Yellowstone (another great guy that refused to do plaques whenever we could get away with it) ML1 Dan Young, ML2 Todd Wuerdeman, ML1 Champagne (I bought a car from him), ML2 Wilson, ML2 Clay, MLFN Cedric Curry, ML3 Robbie Jenkins, ML3 Greg McKinley, MLFN Hannon, ML3 Marquardt, ML3 McCoy, ML2 Jeff Dozier, ML2 Roxanne Davis, ML2 Linda Alves and a few others I can't remember without hurting myself.

Posablly seeing about starting up a navy molders museum?

I know they dismissed our rate back in 1997. I would hope there are enough of us left to possably  get together and see about creating a museum somewhere  here in the states to preserve our long history and heritage that we all have shared as Molders. Any of you out there please give me a response if you read this Discussion.                                      Thanks.
