  • hi richard we must of just miss each othe i reenlisted in 63 and got transfer to the uss burton island agb-1 at pier 91 seattle washington i remember seeing the nav in half in the yard thats quite a long time ago. retired in 1979

  • Very sorry to learn of your disability Richard. Asbestos is something always in the back of my mind due to my time on a DE. Hopefully hiding out in Radio on the 01 level was not to bad in that regard. That said, still spent time in other parts of the ship. Best wishes to you and hope you have the issue under control.
