    Thanks, Chief. It was an honor and a privilege to serve I'm the greatest fighting force mankind has ever seen. I served with VP-31 and VP-47 based out of NAS Moffett Field, Ca. I enjoyed every minute of my service. Thanks again.

    Thanks Chief, It was an honor to be able to serve my country. I served aboard the USS Dennis J. Buckley DD/DDR 808 for 3 years then USNR for 3 years. Thanks again for the warm welcome.

    Not sure what part it was, but I take your word that I "typoed."  I do that with alacrity.  Its a Geezaer thing.  For (corrective record), I enlisted on 16 August, 1949,at St. Louis, Missouri, and retired  on 1 September, 1979 at Commander Fleet Activities, Yokosuka, Japan..

    Advanced  to chief September 1961, senior chief 1967, master chief September 1970.  I hope that works out the "kinks" created by my no longer fleet, flying fingers, and thanks for pointing them out to me.

    Thank you for the greeting!  I was born and raised in Michigan, and have the USN to thank for opening my eyes to a much larger world, and many fond memories from my 7 years of service.  Hope you are enjoying your well earned retirement.
