  The last time I saw a Navy Uniform I was in Corpus Christi, TX around 10 Years ago and it wasn't even dress blues. Nice to see that again.

  thanks for the welcome, its great to be on a spce with old salts that remember the good old bad days ,dontm get me wrong I work with navy now but there attitudes are tottally different than people in the 70's and 80's Ill admitt some are still upholding the psat traditions of hard work and play hard after.

  does anyone remember the gulf war back in 1987 which i was involved with on the Uss Ranger?.....we were on our way down to Mambasa (sic) kenya for a little liberty and suddenly had to go back up; dealing with Iatola Komanie (another sic).  Battle group echo...operation earnest will?

  Thanks Lindsey for the kind words. I went to visit my family last summer in Puerto Rico and we got on the base using my I.D.. Not to be too dramatic - I almost broke down in tears seeing what the base looks like now. My mother did cry because she remembered how beautiful the base was when she would visit Puerto Rico when she lived in New York. The hospital building is still there but not in use. I could only get to where the Galley was and it was getting covered in earth growth. The rest of the base was blocked off. Still it was a great tour while there! Keep in touch!!
