  • Thank you very much for the information about the Salt and Pepper uniforms.  I just need one more piece of information.  That is, on the buttoned up white shirt that went under the dress blue jacket, did any type of rank insignia go on the white shirt like soft shoulder boards, collar devices or was the rank sewn on the shirt like on the other shirts/jackets?  I am wondering how did people know what your rank was when your dress blue jacket was off because CPOs and officers wear soft shoulder boards on the buttoned up white shirt and you can tell what their rank is when they take off their dress blue jackets?
