Hello Senior Chief!
Yep, that was me! MCAS Yuma was my last duty station. The HM Detailer just wouldn't work with me for my next duty assignment so, after I returned from the deployment on the USS Guam LPH 9 with VMA 513 I got an "early release" for the holidays and was separated on 22 Dec 1981 after eight years.
My memory is very short these days but, as I recall, I think you were transfered while I was deployed with VMA 513?
Unfortunately, I haven't keep much contact with our former staff. I did visit HM3 Patty McKinney in Oklahoma sometime in 1983, and had a phone conversation with HM3 Wenda Cullipher after she got out and returned to Boston, MA.
In trying to locate some of the other staff, I learned that Dr C. Susan Rainwater has passed away. Dr Matos has a practice listed in Yuma but I haven't been able to contact her.
Once found Dr Bernie Chapnick listed somewhere in Nebraska on the Internet but, have not been able to locate any of the other staff. I would like to find many of them! That is why I'm on websites such as this one.
Very good to make contact Chief, hopefully we can find some more of our dear friends!
