"I was stationed at NAS South Weymouth for 3 -1/2 years from Sep 69 to May '73. I was the Maint Chief at the GCA unit. Eventually I was the LCPO for both Ground Elec and GCA.

I taught with Frank Coffman at GCA Maint School. He was on the selection board when I made E-8. His last command was MOTU in Charleston in the late '80's. He retired as an E-9 and move to Lexington Park MD where he worked for C Cubed. Not sure of the exact year but over10 years ago Franked died of a heart attack. His two girls are grown and are now married. His wife, Marie, lives in Maryland. If she knew you, you may want to see her Facebook page. You can check my page for a picture of me and three other instructors from the '70s in a reunion.

Funny, while I was never in GCA , a friend of mine was. Given all of the technology upgrades that have happened , he wondered about that too. Neither one of us knew the answer though. We'll need someone to answer who has been there in the last 10 years or so I guess..
