  • first id like to say... THANK YOU all.... for serving our country' xoxox

many years ago' i did boot camp in orlando,fl... then went to AT school also in orlando..... then was stationed in pearl harbour hawaii. i was in the water transporatation division, i worked on the ford island ferryboat.

after all that, i got discharged and had my son, hes 22 now.

i got ALS/ LOU GEHRIGS DISEASE...... for 3 yrs now. it started in my right hand weakness, then within 3 months hit my left hand...
i went for mris, blood tests, and upper and lower emg and other numerous tests, all tests done twice in nj then ny at the als center.

now both arms, are very weak, and cant do much. i cant lift a teacup or anything. i need a straw to drink on a flat surface.. i had to stop driving last august. within the past month started with a walker...

i do numerous walks to raise awareness for als... i know some veterans that contracted als'........ and wonder how this all happened'...... but however it happened... its me now who has to endure this....

actually i am the one who trys to smile and share laughs etc regardless with everyone i met online and otherwise, but somedays its hard.

i need assisted showers etc cause i cant reach my head to shampoo, etc now'... i guess the bottomline is i try and be thankful for what i can still do as minimual as it is'.

hang tight and well talk again soon take care
