  hi there... i remember also RTC in orlando...... what memories eh??? i was in 106' ... up and down those stairs changing clothes and boondockers,etc... the GRINDER'...... doin pt gettin pebbles stuck in our chins lol... the clangin of our companys dogtags in unison'... i was mail' petty officer, had to get mail from the quarterdeck. i was the shortest in my division lol. the lovely chow hall......... peekin at guys while gettin orange juice hahaha..... dont forget haircut, and SHOT DAY'....... and graduation. , and the chain of commands, and the gas chamber, and classes, the cycling on the street'....... and the inspections.. and the whole thing. lol.

  Good one Doug, brought back some old memories with this command. I pulled the web site for NTS, Orlando,Fla. the other day they have some pics that will give you the willies.

  Ah Yes, My adventure started 11March '69 Company #0083 . I remember it well; I was in the 3rd floor barracks overlooking the chow hall on the end of the building and the famous "Grinder" was to the side of the building. I can remember watching those blanket party boys running around the grinder holding those old Springfields over thier heads. Those ummy green,greasy eggs they served for morning chow.
