    ATTN: All BT's!! I found a web site willing to make the "extinct" BT Hat Pin for $14.00 a pop! It's all we got! I haven't order from him yet, but, plan to order 4. web site is semperfimac.net.     BT3 #1 Fireroom USS Wm.H. Standley CG32, 1984-88. Not a day goes by that I don't use alittle of what I learned in #1 Fire. I was a Boiler Tech in the US Navy and Damn Proud of IT !! To the "Pit Snipes" !!

    one of the B.T. tasks,The Shanra-la had steam cattapults. Thus the White work belts.

    Was a BT on USS Boston CAG1, went into USNR status; recruited '86-'91; baack to USNR; converted to MM; Retired 2000. Belong to USS BOSTON ALUMNI.

nsfo sucked f-76 was pretty good burning jp-5 you could burn but superheater temps woud be higher and it did burn cleaner but was expensive to burn in a boiler and we made ourown overloads on the coral sea drilled out some 11s and made 9s for full power runs and wartimeuse. Steaming an m-type with no abc"s was a real challenge but it made the watch go by fast.
