Hey Rusty I must of been the black sheep of the family, my dad was a TMC and served on nothing but Tin Cans during WWII, Korea. An uncle was on subs during WWII and a cousin that served on the U.S.S Midway during Viet Nam. When I get around to it I'll be posting some more pictures especially of my dads ships
I'm a retired UT but worked with a few BT's while I was with Summer Support Deep Freeze at McMurdo Station. But when I retired in 97 I worked for a boiler company out of Greensboro, NC and stayed with them for 10 yrs and now work for the maintenance dept for the local school system taking care of the boilers, a/c units, pumps and chillers units at our 16 schools. Wouldn't be able to do it, if it wasn't for the training I got while I was in any Can Do and have a great Navy Day
We BT'S must have been good. Our rate no longer exhists, but it took 3 rates to replace us.I was told this about 3 years ago by an active duty Machinest Mate, while attending my annual reunion in Mount Pleasant South Carolina with the U.S.S.Yorktown CVA-CVS 10 We should now be called "SUPERSNIPES"
VERY NICE!! Did you have that made some where? But you know it would look better on a handwheel!! LOL,THANKS to you and your daughter.BTC(SW)
