  • i attended basic electricity and electronics in Nov '86 thru May '87. Good times...
  • I was here for Boot Camp Sep-Dec 1973.
  • We finished basic early August 1958. Darn it got cold those first three nights sleeping outside in the Receiving area!
  • Did anyone going througn RM "A" School in the late 60's early 70's have John Walker as an instructor?
  • Boot camp Feb, 1957 Co. 080 set back do to sickness left in May.Washed clothes by hand and solar dried then. 25 cent hair cuts free for boots.
  • Went to boot in San Diego form September 29,1969 thru December, 1969. My boot company was 636, but I was also a member of the Blue Jacket Choir (Company 4007) while in boot camp. It was a great time. After boot I attended RM "A" School in San Diego from Janauary, 1970 to May, 1970 before going to Navcommsta Puerto Rico (San Juan). Navcommsta Puerto Rico then moved to Ft. Allen (Ponce, PR) in the summer of 1970.
  • I attended PN Class "C" - Classification School at NTC in Aug - OCT 1979.
  • I was here twice. Dec. 1976 - Mar.1977 for MS"A" School and Oct. - Dec. 1991 for MS "C " School. Had a good time the first time and a great time the second. In 91 I had no duty section and there was no barracks for E-6 so I had to stay in a Motel. All nights and week ends off plus per diem.
  • Went to MS"A" school there in 1987 I had a great time there!
  • went to boot camp there and Radioman "A" school and tech control school and very good memories of NTC

Naval Training Center San Diego 1976

My name is Phil Mercuri. I was assigned to company 130 and was Squad Leader #4. Is there anyone out there who was part of my company. Our Flag Bearer's name was Hillary Wong. Unfortunately, I do not remember anyone else. Though I do believe there was on other individual named Ace Goodman. I could be wrong.

company 107 1963

Anyone in company 107 1963 (February) Under HL Cutter  (I think we ended up as CUTTERS CLOWNS).  After boot I never saw but two (2)  guys in company ( one was named SMALLWOOD (who was a medic and I saw while in Balboa for knee surgery) and the other was COFFY ( I think went bowsanmate and I saw while TDY in Seattle.I  went directly to NAS North Island from boot.
