  • Hello Vic, it is nice to have shipmates, like you that are doing a great on, aboard the Midway Magic. I remember seeing & chatting with you, Sept 9, 2011.

  • We had the Helo Sims in IB. The one I worked on was all analog with a crap load of vacuum tubes and sevo shafts with multipul pots that got cleaned on a regular schedule. After that I went to surface sims the the USS Midway, then to NAS Miramar on the F-14 Sims then to NAS Jax on P-3's then back to Miramar and retired in Feb of 84
  • I can't say that any of the names you listed "ring a bell" but the older I get the less I remember. Ream Field was a great duty station we had a Chief in Charge and at one point we might have had 25 TD's assigned. Later they changed the name of the base to NAS Imperial Beach. It is still used by the H-60 crews to practice.

In case you have not been informed the TD Association has a reunion every other year. Our next one is in 2012 we are not sure of the location yet but Branson MO. and Memphis TN. are high on the list. If you are in contact with other former TD's please let the know.

  • As I recall I started TD A School in early Nov. 1964 graduated Jan 22nd 1965. Mine was the first class to graduate from the new Building. Got sent to NAAS Ream Field Imperal Beach Ca. Do you remember Rich and Cathy Clements?  They were in the class befor me and they also went to NASNI? I retired in Feb. 1984
