I was stationed there from 1960 to 1961 attached to theRATCC (Radar Air Traffic Control Center). I was on duty that day. I was sent to help with the clean-up after the accident. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures. I had some, but lost all my pictures, slides, etc. in hurricane Katrina. If I remember right , it was a A3J (RA5C) that went in in the bay. I remenber taking some of the UDT team into town in my 1958 Chevy. Sorry I can't tell you more. The old head don't work as good as it used to.

I was assigned to H-8 that day to shoot movies. I remember the event very well and along with an an old friend am also trying to find any articles about the crash. Let me know and I will do likewise.
