Hello Ralph
Usually when I see a new name on Members Online, I go to their profile and see when and where they served..Now and then I see someone that served on Tin Cans as I did or did shore duty someplace in Japan. Most Vets are much younger than I (73) and I have a hard time relating to their service. My Father was a Pharmacist Mate Second Class with a Marine det. in WW11 and an Uncle was a gunners mate on a couple of ships Looking at your service years, I feel like a young Whipper Snapper...ha I hope you are in good health and Thank You for your service. I lucked out and didn't get caught in any conflicts . I went in in 1959 at 17 and got out in 1963...Almost made a career out of the Navy, but went home and went back to school..I might not have such good memories of the Navy should I have stayed in, as I suspect I would have ended in some aspect of Viet Nam. It is good to see you made it home Sailor as my folks did.
Take care and good luck to you...
I'm Bill Karr. My son Doug created this site and I help him out a bit. We hope that you enjoy it.
