I am so glad to hear from you! I remember when Daddy was on the Midway in California. We used to have groups of sailors come to our house in Atherton California, along with groups of nursing students who came with an old friend. My sisters and I "adopted" some ot Daddy's friends and tried to keep them from drinking too much! I was between nine and eleven at the time. We had an old house and a barn that we partied in. I don't think Daddy thought that making warrent was terrific - he always said that a chief was more important!
