Hi Lloyd, I'm Frederick Smith, the Navy guy who was stationed with Doyle Barracks on board the USS Cambria in 1969-1970. Another shipmate told me that Doyle had died. I talked with Doyle on the phone maybe 6-7 years ago, as he was living in Rantoul, Illinois. I went searching for his obit, but couldn't find one. However I found this on some newspaper site:
Rantoul, Illinois - RANTOUL -- Authorities say heart problems were the reason a man was found dead last week. Doyle Barracks, 65, was found unresponsive in his car Friday.
He was parked in the Walmart parking lot. An autopsy Monday found Barracks had heart disease which Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup says led to his death. Foul play does not appear to be involved.

I served with a man named Doyle Barracks, also from Rantoul, IL. He would be around 65 and served on the USS Cambria (APA36) back in 1968.
