AKLs

The Ol' Bag

What ever happened to your old canvas Navy Duffel bag?  Or was it a Ditty Bag. 

 I used it mostly as a carry on for those long Braniff Airways flights back in the day.

Contraband

40 years ago I made a Med cruise on the Saratoga, all the bunks had electricity, but only if you had a "salt water plug". Does anyone recall the name of these plugs and how they worked ? And how was it that you couldn't find any onboard ?
