  • I was MNPO 1 from late '69 to early '71. We were at Cubi Pt and were part of CTU 73.1.2 (Commander Task Unit). In late '69, we were detached to FASU DaNang, but not part of TNPO 96650. We had our own FPO#...96651. I rotated back and forth from Subic to DaNang. In '70, we were absorbed by TNPO 96650 and I eventually rotated out. MNPO 1 does not appear on my DD214 and seemingly didn't exist. The disbursing records must exist...combat pay and per diem would show something, I imagine. I remember one officer's name from CTU 73.1.2...Lt Mike Reilly. I got hurt over in DaNang and was operated on at Subic Hospital. They have the surgery on record, but not where I got hurt. I hope you can use this info to get some results. I haven't needed to go that far with my claim.

Have a Good Veterans Day, Brother
