I was born and raised in Kansas prior to joining the Navy ,but have never regretted living up here ,Just can,t get used to the long cold winters .Besides this is where my grand children are ,and we know how they need spoiling .
Welcome aboard Walter. Native or transplant doesn't matter. Always great to see someone new who, I hope. appreciates the State and all it has to offer. Hopefully, you don't regret moving with the Wife. Lots going on in Michigan. I love Michigan, but I am biased. Best of luck to you and your Family.
Hi Gerald & Dennis! Welcome aboard. Glad to see some guys from before me joining the group. Would be great to hear some of the stories you might have from your time in and where you were stationed.
Enlisted in 1974 left in 1983 I was an OS1 when I left commissioned the USS Kincaid DD965 and the USS Duncan FFG10 both out of the west coast originally from Lansing now living in Jacksonville, NC

Born in Highland Park and grew up near Davison and 12th and in Warren. Graduated from Fitzgerald High before going in Navy.
Oh hey der youse guyz. Born in Marquette, raised on Mackinac Island and joined the Navy in da Soo. Now I'm a cheesehead, eh? :)
