  I was in the BJC in late 1967.  It happened by mistake that I was scheduled to audition although I had never sung in a choir.  Although only 1 in seven were selected I made it!  We sang - of course for church services - in Blaboa and with a mass choir in the San Diego civic center at Christmas.  I remember that we got a standing ovation!  I sang baritone.

  Well Howard Boylin, I am going to have to check further back on pages! I just found the track you loaded last year! Dr. Williams made a lot of changes in 4 years! In 72 we sang things quite differently! I've forgotten whether he handled the organ with us or had someone else do it!

  I was in BJC Dec 1968, Sang around San Diego for IHOP often and for a Lawrence Welk Fundraiser. Anyone remember these?

  Hi Bruce,

  You were in BJC three years before I was. It was one of the best experiences that I had while in Boot Camp. Do you still live in Texas? I live in Waco and work at Baylor University.

  After graduating BJC 4007 in December '66 from NTC, I returned to San Diego and Hospital Corps School at Balboa. I also sang for Mrs. Choates and the Hospital Chapel Choir. One of the protestant chaplains was an Episcopal priest, fr. McBride from Texas. Years later, when I became a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Kingwood, Texas, I met a Bill McBride and his dgt Diane. Bill was the brother of the priest I had sang for at Balboa.
