I remember the POW's coming into USNH Philadelphia it was quite an event. I also remember the helicopter pad at the bottom of the hill. Our barracks was located right next to it!
Rick, we were there at the same time, different classes. I was there about October '72 until Feb. '73. For the life of me I can't remember the class number.
Rick, you were leaving as our class (25A-72) was coming in!
"They tore down our barracks and put up a parking lot!"
I was there Sept to December 1972. A lot of fond memories. Our barracks was at the top of the hill by the helo pad. Go down the hill, cross the road to the helo pad, down a big flight of concrete steps and you found yourself at the front door of the E-Club.
I was in Corps School from March to August 1972. Company 39-72. Anyone out there from the company?
AHOY MATEYS! My first note on here. Went to Balboa in Jan. 1970. I believe I had my first, but not last, beer there as well. My first duty station was Chelsea Naval Hospital, Mass. as Senior Corpsman of Ward 14, Dirty Orthopedics. Two years later with USMC in Camp Lejeune.Have been in healthcare ever since. Greetings to ALL.
