    I was with Fleet Hospital 6 in Bahrain during Desert Shield/Storm...dont find many people on from then...or much info either. feel free to message me if anyone was there.

    I did two Indian Ocean Deployments in two years on the USS Midway (CV-41) in 1980 then again in 1981. Seemed like the thing to do during the Iranian Hostage crisis. That and the Midway was forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan. We were part of the Original Gonzo Station. It was the Midway crew that named it that and it stuck.... "Midway Magic" at it's best

    9pm Sunday Sept 16, 1990 arrived lived in Camp 13 & worked at Lumber Lot at Port of Jubail. Airplane lifted off the ground 5:05pm Thur Mar 14,1991enroute to States

My Award

 I was there when one of the Helo Ships had a boiler explosion. It killed a few guysand they came outoard of us. I think it was the Iwo Jima. We feed their crew and or our crew at the same time.That was where I got my NAM. We hung out at a hotel that had a swimming pool on the top deck with a bar (of course). One our off time we made good use of the hotel. Had a bar down stairs.And wasclose to the Gold Suk.
