  • Same here, I often thought about how Billy would approach a situation. I hope he knows how much of an affect he had on us "junior" folks at the time.
  • Billy was the best Chief I knew and I was in for 20! He still stands out as the best in my book!
  • I remember AOC Love & Smitty. I recall as a troubleshooter we use to hang out in the AO Shack and as a Lineman did a lot of "goofy" things in the deck with rest of the guys! Man, this is really joggin the memory! Eedie Amin Rose was fair but things were done his way or no way from what I remember... and the amount I drank at that time I am lucky to remember anything! Thanks guys!
  • I can't remember who it was but I do recall that the chief was pissed! I think he got tossed out of the AO shop
  • I remember Rose he was mean but fair..he stuck up for me on a couple of my Capt Mast..Al wasn't it Clapp who emptied the charge into the hole and I do remember that was a nasty burn..its funny but reading all this brings up another story from the archives..boy you guys are making those gerbels in my brain word hard..I enjoy it...I wanna see how much Woody remembers since his mind was occupied by those herbal remedies..Kent i do remember that red head she was hot
  • I remember Rose. He really gave it to me & I think Harv for littering on the base.
  • John, sorry to hear about your job. Hope all is well with you and the family. Good to see everyone coming in and leaving coments. Joe
  • John, that was me who got burned. I was putting a cigarette out in the post hole when it flared up. I can't remember who the ao was who emptied the charge cartridge into it. That was a nasty burn
  • yep i remember fast eddy
  • Tiny Tim I belive was the victim of the screwdriver thieving crab. Yes I remember Pork Chop........There was this red headed wave that hung around the barracks as well.
Remember when Senior Cheif Billy Ruth swan drived off the barracks poarch in Rosie when the Army was doing some kind of TAD there. Damn near broke his neck......If it wasn't for the bottle of rum he had consumed.......
