  • Alphonse, go to the following link and click on Ebay! There is a copy of your Anchor up there that ends in 17 hours!

    Anchor Co 1961-369

  • Was in Company 369 in 1961. I had to polish the brass on the bridge during our feild day on the Recruit. Anyone have a copy of the Anchor for Company 369-61 they want to sell?  or even one close to that Company number.

  • Billet rating was Communications Yeom;  attend communications yeoman school at Naval Station Norfolk spring of '68, before getting transferred to San Diego for my first duty station.  Spent four years in the Navy without ship duty;  two years overseas shoreduty instead, Philippines, Hawaii and Japan.

  • I was in Company 623, Oct '67 to Jan '68.  CO's last name Dickson, I think.  Couldn't march worth a damn, so ended up Barracks Master at Arms somewhere during training.  In the Navy from Oct '67 until Aug '71.

  • The Marines would love to see many more of these Schools for Terrorist!

  • Combat pay times 1.5...Why in the world would someone want grunts to do that in the first place..

  • The Marines should love that! It will balance off the 75 lb pack on their backs! LOL

I wonder though if there is going to be a move to allow pregnant soldiers to serve in combat??? Wouldn't that require combat pay times 2!

  • I remember that building well, RTC Command building! Being in the Bluejacket Choir, we sang in front of there every week for the awards ceremonies. I was there from Sept of 72 till Nov.
