Read more…Lindsey,You are probably right, I think it was the sulfur smell to the boiled eggs. When we had troops aboard the chow was not great, the chow was great when in port and no troops aboard.

Arrived at RTC with an all Oklahoma group but was set back two weeks in training due to a bad reaction to one of the shots.
1964 to 1967 Trained five companies of recruits. First company was 64 - 585, Then followed 65 - 093, 65 - 910, 66 - 320, and 67 - 144.

i was in Company 181 August 1980 graduation, awarded the Captains Trophy, And My Color pictures are in all of the RTC Anchor books from around 1981-85, if anyone has one of these books I sure would appreciate it if you could scan those color pages to me as I lost all in a fire. Thanks
