  • I watched them cut her up in Philadelphia while stationed on USS O H Perry
  • Shipmate 1980 - 1983 in OW Division as an EW2. Worked with a great group of guys.
  • She was older and bolder and she brought me home every time. I served on her from 1986 to 1991. I was her last CMAA and I closed her out. I can't believe they cut her up. She deserved better. She will always be my first Navy love.

I enjoyed the job, worked with some great Officers, Chiefs and Sailors. The boss was a Cdr Mason. Made Master Chief in May of 1989 and made the error of complaining to the XO, Capt Denny Mc Ginn about the HT's not fixing a leaking urinal drain. He asked me if I knew how to solve the problem. Looking for shipmates

Hi, I was abord Coral Sea from Feb. 1951 through Apr. 1954. I'm not sure of exact dates, I'm not sure of anything at my advanced age. I think I enjoyed my time aboard the Coral Maru. I made some great friends, most of whom were in the V3G (Av. gas gang) division. I've had the good fortune to remain in contact with a few of my shipmates but, would sure like to hear from any others.
