  • I was a little bored! So, I use Google Street View and took a drive through San Diego. The old TDE1 look pretty good considering! She is now the NTC Museum!

  • Have you ever gone to the the web site http://wikimapia.org/5569888/Liberty-Station-Former-Naval-Training-... where you can zoom in and ue the cursor to identify the old NTC building (like the RM "A" School and the Chow Hall)? It is a really good resource to locate the historic structures. Some are gone, but many are still there.

  • Your right Jim I won't forget Boilerman Chief Nash either. He was on my ass constantly, just look at the way I was wearing my dixie cup, you know he wasn't happy about that. I still wouldn't trade a minute of the time I spent there for anything. What he and others taught us kept me and others alive when the time came.
  • A lot of vets can not forget their recruit training Company Commanders! I certainly remember mine! I wonder if anyone else had him or knew him.
