"WHEN I WAS ON THE BLUE RIDGE (70-74), THE FIRST YEAR AND A HALF OR SO WE USED NSFO, THEN WE SWITCH TO "NAVY DISTILLATE" FUEL. JP5 AND SOME OTHER PETROL MIX. THAT CONVERSION WAS GREAT - EXTENDED OUR BOILER FIRESIDE AND WATERSIDE CLEANING HOURS. "
