  • Hi Pete,  sold the cows a few months ago,  still farming the 220 acres,   but collecting SS , IRA;s and pensions so I won't have to sell the farm and move next to the displaced California people escaping from down there.  ha.    Visited the old house on 228 Newport News Ave a few years ago, they tore down the old structure and rebuilt a new one that is very similar.  The property is part of the historical Hampton District.  So they had a requirement to do so when the new owners acquired it from the Howell's.  You can see it on Google Street.  My oldest son Chris, wife Sally and two girls, lived over the bay near the tunnel at the time.  He is currently in Bremerton,WA, CO of the Seawolf.   The brow of the South Carolina is planted outside the Bremerton Naval Shipyard.  The 37 is still on it but the plaque is not inscribed with the ships name.  You can find it on google street too.  If I get some ambition I will send a picture of it as my family all gathered there for the Seawolf change of command ceremony.   My oldest daughter Stephanie lives in Virginia Beach with her husband and three children,  Matt is a CDR and XO of a Destroyer.   Mark my youngest son is in Lemoore, CA, wife Kelly and two boys, Mark is a LtCDR and flies the F18-F, yea his dream of flying since he was 10 years old.  Jenn my youngest is in San Diego with her husband, Ben, who is a LtCdr and Combat Systems Officer on a destroyer.   Trish and I are still in the same house,  my Mom died a year ago so no one living in her house at the moment.  I bought my uncle's house and farm, down the road and have an old neighbor living there.  So we are pretty much here alone, but can travel more now that the cows are not tying me down on a daily basis.    Mike Greetis lives in Boise, but I haven't been in contact with him since we met up Dan Hull's years ago.  I have visited the Hulls since for a few hours.   Need to go back before we all kick the bucket.   Keep in touch    Phil
