  • I was in ML A school in Nov-Dec 1985. I don't know if it was me or not. I did have to work hard (Maybe harder) to prove that I could do the job. I did my time on the live end of the shank. I could pour steel, brass, bronze and aluminum with the best of them. I even had to take over for this young skinny guy once...I believe his name was Schrengoust or something like that. I worked in the foundry the whole time I was an ML. With the exception of when I was pregnant with my 2 boys and when i was LPO of the Carpenter shop on the USS Puget Sound. At 12 years when I was on recruiting duty I had to cross rate.....it got me out of recruiting duty early (thank GOD) so I cross rated to SK and finished my career as an SK. I have been "retired" for 3 1/2 years now. I work for the Postal Service as a window clerk. I am looking forward to the day that I am really retired. Take care
  • I agree...there's so much reading...
  • Welcome Aboard Dan! Thanks for your service in The Cold War, Korean War and Vietnam. Congratulations on your well-earned retirement.
