Blue Ridge, which is stil in commission in Japan, was brand new. Just out of Philadelphia Navy Yard. Was really modern having technology that we only saw on Star Trek. Spend about three months on her until I got off in Okinawa for me to go home on 30 day leave in advance of the unit going back to the world.
