  • I served at Joel T. Boone Clinic from 1975-79 as HM2 at both military sick call and the family/dependent clinics, and after hours in the emergency room.  I am trying to piece together any/all military photos from my time there and would appreciate any help or lead on photo archivist for the base and/or clinic. I remember working w/base photographer during this period but have no idea how to connect or where to start looking. Thanks.

  • Stationed at NAVPHIBASE Little Creek Jun 1984 to Mar 1988.  Worked at TPD, Base HQ, Counseling & Assistance Center and Weapons Office.  Also served as a member of and POIC of base Honor Guard under PNCM James Black.

  • I came to NAB LITTLE CREEK in 68.  I was in the pharmacy in the station disp., I bought by first set of golf clubs at the golf course.  I also tended bar at the Acey-Ducey club for a couple of years.  KEN MCDOWELL  HMC USN RET

  • I served eight years in the Navy. Four years active duty ('94 - '98) and four years reserved ('98 - '02). I did my first reserve drills at Little Creek Amphib Base.

  • I was stationed at NAB Little Creek in the SeaBees from 1997-1999 at NMCB-23 Detachment 0123.

  • I was stationed on the USS La Moure County LST-1194 in 1995 at Little Creek.

  • My 1st shore tour from '87-'90 was at NAB LCreek.  I will never forget my DIVO.  She, yes I said she, was way more like a Chief.  She took care of her people and didn't take any crap from anyone else and the job was done and done right.
  • I was TAD two weeks while awaiting my ship the USS Caron DD-970 to pull into a port.
  • was stationed there for 3 weeks attending SERE training. Worst chow in the Navy

  • Technically, I was never assigned to LCreek per se, But I did 2 yrs at ACU-2, 3 yrs at SIMA, LCreek, and 4 on the Cyclone PC-1.  9 years in all on that base. I recommend that base to anyone. Small, nice facilities, and good folks, (except the year the base cops used the CPO club as a DWI trap!). We all boycoted the club and went off base. We eventually brought them to thier knees.
