  • Thanks Jerry. Here in South Carolina, the state issues free state parks passes which includes all state owned beaches, some resorts and all camp grounds for 100% permanent & total vets if the veteran purchases a $25 [greatly reduced] annual pass. Also, hunting and fishing licenses are issued free of charge to those same 100% P&T disabled veterans. I know the veteran has to be rated 100% total and permanent. Hopefully, the state will be a little more inclusive with other vets. The children of 100% P&T veterans also get to choose to attend any state supported college or university at no charge in addition to the stipend given by the VA. All other veterans, disabled or not, are treated to free meals on certain holidays by a number of restaurants in our home town of Beaufort. Golden Corral is one restaurant chain that comes to mind.
