"I was in Company 3016- the 16th company of women recruits to go thru Orlando after they moved RTC(W) from Bainbridge----they cranked our company thru in 8 weeks instead of 10, incentive to NOT get held back was that we graduated only a few days…"
I still have my old torn and tattered blue jacket. I just can't get to thow it out even though it's not much more than a rag any more. I also still have my original Blue Jacket's Manual. Back in my day they even still issued the "Donald Duck" covers to us but I have lost it. It's one thing that I wish I still had just as an item done away with long ago. Nice to hear from you. Lots of cool stuff on this site with plenty of opportunities for members to participate. Have fun with it.
Welcome Aboard, P.J.!
I'm Bill Karr. My son Doug created this site and I help him out a bit. We hope that you enjoy it.
The following message is from Doug:
1. Be sure to upload an image of yourself. You can add your image on your Footlocker.
2. Click the Commands tab and search for your commands so that you can join them and add them to your page! This is how other shipmates will find you.
3. Invite all your shipmates!
4. Don't hesitate to add an event or a reunion to the Events tab!
5. We've also started Commands for each State. Be sure to join or add your own state!
I give out gifts often for those folks who participate on Navy Vets! Be sure to start up a blog post or two and tell us all about your time in the Navy!
