  • Hey Dennis!!    Frank is a D.O. in Erie, PA.  Linda and I was engaged for awhile, but lost touch.

Come the facebook group of American Association of Hospital Corpsmen.  Bunch of us are there.

  • Stationed @ NAVHOSP Orlando from 1974-1977. Was Senior HM on Ward 12 (Male Ortho, EENT) Charge RN was LT Peggy Morris. Definitely remember CMAA White, Capt. Powell, Don Crews (ENT Tech), CDR Marcotte, Dave King, Frank Reusche, Linda Schmidt, Capt. Easterling (Chief of ENT), Doug Martin(Ward 1 - NP). I can remember having to transport patients to the OR via the covered ramps. We even cancelled surgeries when the weather was too bad. When I got promoted to HM2, I was reassigned to the Dispensary @ RTC and was the LPO of Recruit Sick Call until I left in Oct 1977. HMCM Bob Huemme was the Command Master Chief. Sad to see the entire area NTC/RTC/NAVHOSP is gone.

  • Lord have mercy! your bringing back some names I remember! Steve and Billie Hernandez just jumped off the page at me.  Billie used to make Chicken enchiladas and bring them in to work. I worked in the outpat department and ER there for a while. Does Dave and Kathy Austin ring a bell? Both HM2's, drove vets.

  • Also PA Russ Alexander

  • Mr. Grubb, I remember you.  I don't think we ever worked together but we sure passed each other more than once on the ramps, admin bldg., and in the chow hall.
Stover and I were roommates in the barracks for awhile.  I remember him getting a circ because he read that uncirc'd males had a higher risk of penis cancer and he was paranoid of cancer.  Not easy to have done in your mid-20's.  If I remember right he either got transferred or got out at the end of '78.
You're right, no one can forget the Wicked Witch of the Ramps, CDR Marcotte.  Don't remember CPO White, but CPO Callicutt was the Hospital Chief MAA if I'm not mistaken.
Here's a few more names for you: HMs Dave Chance, Steve and Billie Hernandez, Don Mirault, Ray Lopez, Bill Walker, George Schademann (sp?), Gillian Lloyd, Naymond Fontenot.  RNs: Matezueski (sp?), Judy Tucker, Kathy Reynders, Carol Schemmer, Vizdo [OR] (sp?), Kathy Turner, Betty Thomas, Kathy Sweet, Maureen Fitzpatrick.  MDs: Steve Thomas, Doug MacCler, Aleta, Perez, Maer (all ER), Silverman Surg), Radpour (Radiologist), Smith (ENT), Sandri (Int Med)

  • Anyone remember HM? Katherine DalPian?   Circa 75.

  • Jun 79 - Mar 80, Portsmouth

  • AHCS-10, Jan-Oct 1979, NSHS, Portsmouth, VA.

  • Joseph Pelot,  when did you go to IDC school?
