Gawd, it's been a long time. Messing around w/net and discovered this site.
Gloria and I are still married (40 yrs). Left Jax after 4th year and never reassigned there. Gloria transferred to Naval Reserves, had some fun with 4th MedBn and an activation for Desert Storm; retired as a HMC. Gloria went on to get a MSN and is a professor of Nursing in Arizona. I went on to Grad school too and received a commission as a MSC. Was fortunate to have served onboard ship and w/our Marines, then some joint staff billets at various CINCs (including CentCom during ODS) and US Defense U. Ft. McNair DC (was plank owner of the POMI designation); retiring at rank of Captain. Then went on to retire from Honda as a N.A. region new model prototype project leader. Together we are busy "paying it forward": founding US Navy Sea Cadet units in Arizona and are active in various community charities and the Navy League of US.
We have fond memories of our initial years as hospital corpsmen, Great Lakes (our weekend WI escapades), and NAS Jacksonville.
I have joined AAoNHC but I have figured the site out as it is limited on the info that is given, maybe you can guide me through it.
Like I said before I'm eager to see your son's progession with corps training and advancement.

I can only guess how impressed your son and friends were with the intro and welcome aboard by the Master Chief.
Thanks for filling me in. I would like to go to Bremerton ,Wa. but I'm wanting to reunited with some of the Marines I was in Vietnam with as soon as possible. They are in New York State and Illinois. I haven't seen them in over 42 years.
Keep us posted on your son we can live vicariously through him. Is he wanting to be 8404?
How was the Corpsman reunion in San Antonio? I hate that I had to miss it but I had too much going on at that time and I had not planned for it.

I'm Bill Karr. My son Doug created this site and I help him out a bit. We hope that you enjoy it.
