  • Moved to NJ upon discharge from the Navy in 1982. Live in Tinton Falls and am a member and past commander of Post 346 American Legion Department of New Jersey.  Spent two years at the Submarine Repair Facility in New London and three years aboard the USS Cushing DD985.

  • Born in Jersey City and moved to South Plainfield, N.J. at age 6. Enlisted in the Navy in June of '67.  Served on board USS Northampton CC-1 from Sept.'67 until Feb.'69. NAS GTMO from Feb'69 until Feb '70, USS Mississinewa AO-144 Feb '70 until Apr. '71. Returned to South Plainfield, married and raised my family here. Now retired and split my time between So. Plfd. and Myrtle Beach S.C.

  • Was stationed on USS Norris DD-859 from June 66 till April 68,Round the World cruise with tour in Viet Nam ,,,,,USS Joseph K Taussig DD-1030 Nov.68 till Dec. 69 discharge, Unitus X cruise.

Once a shipmate, always a shipmate

All of us who served in any branch of the military must surely think of the group of people whom we were once so close to. Whether it was many years ago or simply just last year, there must be a desire to know what has become of all those sailors, or soldiers, or marines or airmen which we once marched or sailed or flew with.I for one think back a lot to those days in 1967 through 1971 and recall all the good and bad times which became known as my military service.
