    Jim W is back in HI. He got the chance to visit the Recruit. But, wasn't able to meet with anyone. I wonder if I can use that as an excuse to take a trip back to San Diego??? I'll know the answer to that as soon as the first snow falls!

  • I'm all for the TDE-1 to painted on the bow, too. It isn't a ship without the hull number.
  • David, just your moral support is more than enough! The bigger the number of supporters we can gather on here, the better! We might as well cover that corner of the country! I'm in NY, JL is in TX, Jim W. is in HI and Wayne will be moving to SD after the 1st of the year! So we are coming at it from all directions!

    I agree! TDE-1 should be back on her bow! That was the longest and most recognized designation!

USS Recruit museum effort. Sign on to show your support!

There are some of us on here that are determined to see to it that the TDE-1 is restored to it's glory days and continues to serve as a museum to all those that walked her decks! That effort requires the involvement of everyone that cares! If you went to basic or were stationed at San Diego, that means you!Currently, the Naval Sea Cadet Corp has entered into an agreement with the Corky McMillin Company, the developer of NTC.
